Every day from our center we see lorries and carts loaded with wood heading to the fishing harbour, where it is used for the fish smoking process.

Nowadays we can already find areas where all the trees have been cut out and are completely deforested. Neither the local nor the regional authorities care about this problem. It is very sad to see how a region so rich in biodiversity is decreasing so quickly.

This is the reason why during 2010 we started this project with the suport from our friends and visitors in order to buy and plant 200 mango trees in the rainy season.   October 2011  In august we started the second edition of this project and we planted 125 orange trees. We have chosen fruit trees for this campaigns in order to contribute at the same time in improving the family economy. 

If you are interested in suporting our next campaign, you can do it so by donating 3 euros (1€ per tree purchase, 1€ transport/planting and 1€ in benefit of our school). We will plant a tree with the donnor's name and send the picture by e-mail.
